The story is also found in mahAbhArataM – vana parva – tIrtha yAtra parva – Chapters 130, 131. where it refers to King uSInara and not ‘Sibi’.

In SrImad vAlmiki rAmAyaNa, the name of ‘uSInara’ or ‘Sibi’ is not found in the raghu dynasty chart read out by sage vasishTha before the marriage of SrI rAma (bAlakANDa – Chapter 70 refers). However, SrI rAma mentions a different story of falcon and dove as an example in support of his decision for accepting vibhIshaNa’s surrender. yuddha kANDa – Chapter 18 (verses 24-25)
In SrImad bhAgavataM, the name of King Sibi is mentioned as one of great bhAgavata – ibid – Book 2 – Chapter 7, verse 45.

4 - vEgamE - quickly – from the position of placing this word, this should be applied to the act of draupadi in calling the Lord. However, here, it would be more appropriate to apply it to the Lord.
